Honorable Judge George Leighton Recipient of the 2011 Unity Award
Judge George Leighton received the 2011 Unity Award presented by the Just the Beginning Foundation during its annual dinner on Wednesday, November 30th. This Award recognizes individuals for their exceptional work in supporting diversity in the legal community.
The Just the Beginning Foundation is dedicated to developing and nurturing interest in the law among young persons from various socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds underrepresented in the legal profession and supporting their continued advancement.
Langdon Neal, Jeanette Sublett, Jacinta Epting, and Hillie Semprit attended the dinner to accept the Award on the Leighton’s behalf.
