Criminal Law

Select attorneys of Neal & Leroy practice criminal law in state and federal courts, concentrating largely on the defense of white collar crime including federal mail fraud, racketeering charges, internal union violations of local and international constitutions, and related civil matters. The firm has experience prosecuting and defending civil suits to recover damages arising out of criminal actions, such as fraud and conspiracy.  

It has also prosecuted and defended various civil rights matters.  One of the firm’s attorneys, George N. Leighton, who has extensive experience in this practice area, is a former judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at the John Marshall Law School with an emphasis in Prisoner’s Rights.
