Jenny Lee concentrates her practice in representing employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies and counseling employers in all areas of employment law. Jenny has extensive experience in education law and in higher education as a researcher, educator, and Title IX and civil rights administrator.

 

Representative Matters

 

• Represented public and private-sector employers in state and federal courts and government agency proceedings involving discrimination/harassment, civil rights, retaliatory discharge, wage claims, unfair labor practice charges, breach of contract claims, tort claims, FOIA/OMA, PTAB, and other matters.

• Successfully defended higher education institution in the Seventh Circuit in a federal lawsuit involving Title IX and breach of contract claims.

• Served as Special Assistant Attorney General representing a state agency in a federal class action lawsuit.

• Conducted investigations for public and private-sector clients involving civil rights complaints and other employment issues.

• Counseled clients in a wide range of matters including employee discipline, employee and union complaints, hiring and separation, Board governance, policy development, immigration/visa/work authorization, affirmative action/DEI, compliance, non-competes, copyright liability, and paid leave laws.
